Glenn Close got in the holiday spirit Thursday at a sing-along at the Edison Hotel’s Rum House. The shindig, organized by Peggy Siegal, was in honor of “20 Feet from Stardom” — the documentary about backup singers for famous musicians that’s one of 15 films on the short list for best documentary Oscar this year.
We spotted Close at a back area of the bar singing and dancing along to Christmas carols. But she eventually moved closer to the singers, then got on the microphone herself to sing “O Holy Night” with the film’s stars Darlene Love, Lisa Fischer and Judith Hill.
Also on the scene were David Letterman’s musical sidekick Paul Shaffer, Robert Wuhl, Steve Buscemi, jazzman Peter Cincotti and Richard Kind.
