Singer Darlene Love’s all about the holidays — and she’s bringing seasonal joy to Brevard.

What better time than the season of magic to experience the power of Love — in the shimmering, soulful form of legendary singer Darlene Love?

Now’s your chance, as she brings her “Love for the Holidays” to the King Center at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

If you’ve seen Love’s turn in the Oscar-winning “20 Feet From Stardom,” which detailed the lives of little-known backup singers, you know she was the unacknowledged power on such Phil Spector-produced, girl-group hits as “He’s a Rebel” — credited to the Crystals rather than Love’s group, the Blossoms.

If you’re not familiar with her back-up work with Sam Cooke, Elvis or the Beach Boys, or her stints as Danny Glover’s wife in the “Lethal Weapon” movies, or even her 2011 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there’s a chance you’ve heard her on TV.

Since1986, Love has been the musical guest on the last “Late Show With David Letterman” show before Christmas. And in glitzy, glamorous, goosebump-giving style, she sings the 1963 classic, the Spector-produced “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”
